Christian’s Cranberry Sauce
This cranberry sauce is an easy, tart addition to just about anything. Serve with turkey, as a sandwich condiment, or add to your cake, pancakes, or muffins. Scale the recipe to feed any crowd size!

You Will Need:
- One 12 oz. package of fresh cranberries
- 1 C granulated sugar
- 1 C apple cider
- 1 orange (zest and juice)
- 1 tsp pie spice (or more to taste)
- Pepper to taste
You Will Do:
- Rinse the cranberries in a colander and place the rinsed, patted dry berries into a Dutch oven or saucepan over medium-high heat
- Add sugar and cider and keep stirring until the sauce begins to boil (the berries will pop dramatically. That means it’s working!)
- Add zest from the orange and hand-squeeze the remaining juice from the same orange
- Add pie spice and pepper (and anything else you want to experiment with)
- Keep stirring. A lot. Maybe 20 minutes or more until the berries break down and the sauce looks… saucy
- Lower the heat as needed to prevent sploshing, and keep stirring until finished. Good things take time
- Serve!
